The plain keystone was hand
drawn by our stencil maker,
Charlie Pellegrino of Pellegrino Signs, in Lambertville, NJ
(609-397-2889).
Because the keystone was hand drawn, it was made up of several
pieces of vinyl. So it went on last, on a day when I had a lot
of time and patience!
Charlie also hand drew the car
numbers because a computer-based font was not available. He also
made hand adjustments to some of the stencils. This attention
to detail produced a quality job.
Project PRR 15555 G38
The stencilling method used here was the same as the one used to
letter the flat car. Again, The PRR's wide use of drawings and lettering
arrangment prints allowed us to produce a very accurate "as
built" stencil job.
